Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

This section contains everything you need to get started with the VLE.

What is the VLE?

The VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) is the online home of your modules and an important tool for online learning.

Each module has its own site run by the lecturer which contains things like:

  • course materials like lecture slides, videos, reading lists, quizzes etc.
  • links to video conferencing tools for real-time online seminars and lectures.
  • interactive tools for discussion and collaborative work.
  • places to submit assignments.

You'll also find other important sites like the Academic Integrity Tutorial, Turnitin training and academic skills support.

Top tip! Use the right browser - we recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Access the VLE

Use the drop down menu under VLE at the top of the page for an introduction to the most important aspects of the VLE or use the links below to move between pages.

If you need any materials in an alternative format, or if you have issues or queries after reviewing these guides, please contact the relevant team. You can find these contact details on the Home page.
