Welcome to the Subject Guide for Humanitarian Response and Development

Welcome to this Subject Guide, which brings together key resources and information for students and staff in the Department.

Lots of our services are continuing during lockdown, and the Morrell, Fairhurst and Burton are open seven days a week, now from 8am to midnight. You'll find all the relevant information in our News item.

For some brief #UoYTips on getting the most out of YorSearch, the library catalogue, watch the video below.

Learning online

It can be tricky to get up to speed with studying online, when all your learning is taking place over the internet. We've put together a guide with information on working off campus, communicating online, being digitally organised and a lot more. It's really well worth a look:

Using the Library from a distance

The Library provides a lot of support for students who live and work at a distance from campus. See our web page for distance learners for more details and advice.
