There are a number of reliable places for you to find further information about the subject areas covered in this guide both at the University of York and externally. If you prefer interactive tutorials then the Google Workspace add on is especially recommended as it contains easy to use short tutorials on many Google topics.
The University of York IT Services Webpages have a Google Workspace for Education page with generic and application specific help and guidance.
The University of York Skills Guidescontain videos, interactive tutorials, workbooks and links to specific help for developing your digital and information searching skills. There are regular training courses held throughout the year, these are listed on the Skills Guide Training page, the link is in the right hand pane.

The Google Workspace Learning center is an excellent resources. Please note however that these generic help resources may suggest approaches that are not appropriate in a University of York context. One example of this is Gmail Help encourages you to create mailing groups from contacts, but for collaboration it is better to use Google Groups for both email and document sharing. Still resolving queries and issues with Google independently and searching for help is a valuable skill and we encourage to do this whilst navigating this guide and for building your knowledge of Google.
