Finding the right resources

Selecting the right resources for your work is important. You can use the individual subject guides to find out more about the resources available to specifically support your area of study. The boxes below offer training and advice on the resources we offer and how to access these. 

Yorsearch

  • Yorsearch is our online library catalogue. Wiith Yorsearch, you can search the entire library collections, including books, journals, e-books, theses, DVDs and more. 
  • You can log into Yorsearch at the top right of the screen using your university username and password. This enables you to manage your library account online through the "My Account" option. 
  • You need to log into Yorsearch.to access our e-books and e-journals. Log in using you university username and password, then search as usual. You can then follow the "View Online" option from any e-resource record to get access

Cannot find what you need?

Please ask for help if you cannot find what you need.

Remember that you can use the Library's Interlending service to get hold of materials that are not available within the Library's print and online collections.

Key Texts

Some tutor-recommended resources which are in high demand are moved to our Key Texts Collections. The loan periods are shorter than flexible loans, and items can be booked in advance for a specific time.
